இந்த விடயத்தில் சமரசம் என்ற பேச்சுக்கே இடமில்லை என்ற அளவில் நாடெங்கிலும் மக்கள் அணி அணியாகத் திரண்டுள்ளார்கள்.

இந்தியாவின் சிறிய குக் கிராமங்களில் இருந்து பெரிய பெரிய நகரங்கள் வரை ஊழலுக்கு எதிராக அன்னாவுக்கு ஆதரவாக மக்கள் அணியணியாகத் திரண்டுள்ளார்கள்.

காங்கிரஸ் அரசோ அன்னாவுக்கு வலுத்து வரும் ஆதரவைப் பார்த்து மிரண்டு போய் திரிசங்கு நிலைக்கு ஆளாகியுள்ளது.
பொதுமக்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரின் பேச்சிலும் காங்கிரஸ் காங்கிரஸ் அரசுக்கெதிரான கோபம் கொப்பளிக்கிறது.

 

இன்று காலை ஊழலுக்கெதிராக டெல்லியில் உண்ணாவிரதம் இருக்க இருந்த 74 வயதான முதியவரான அன்னாவை அவரது வீட்டில் வைத்து டெல்லி பொலிஸார் கைது செய்தனர்.
காலை 7 மணிக்கு கைது செய்த பொலிஸார் பகல் 12 மணியளவில் சிறப்பு நீதிமன்றில் ஆஜர் செய்தனர். பின்னர் மாலை 3 .30 மணியளவில் திகார் ஜெயிலில் அடைக்கப்பட்டார்.
ஊழல் குற்றச்சாட்டில் சிக்கிய ராஜாவும், கல்மாடியும் அங்கு தான் உள்ளனர்.
ஊழலுக்கெதிராக போராடிய அன்னா ஹசாரேயும் ஒரே சிறையில் அதாவது திகாரில் அடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள்.

 

இந்தியாவின் நுழைவாயில் என அழைக்கப்படும் மும்பையின் இந்தியா கேட் பகுதியிலும், திகார் ஜெயிலின் முன்பும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் மெழுகுவர்த்தி ஏந்தி தமது போராட்டத்தை தற்போதும் தொடர்ந்தவண்ணமுள்ளனர்.

அன்னா ஹசாரேயை விடுவித்துள்ளதாக திஹார் சிறை நிர்வாகம் உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக அறிவித்துள்ளது. ஆனாலும் அன்னா ஹசாரே சிறையை விட்டு வெளியேற மறுத்து வருவதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
டெல்லியில் உள்ள Jaiprakash Narain Park பூங்காவில் நிபந்தனையின்றி உண்ணாவிரதம் மேற்கொள்ள அனுமதித்தால் மட்டுமே சிறையில் இருந்து வெளியேறுவதாக அன்னா திட்டவட்டமாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதேநேரம் ஹசாரே இரவு உணவையும் இன்று தவிர்த்துள்ளார். அவருடன் கைதாகி சிறையில் உள்ள அவரது ஆதரவாளர்களும் இரவு உணவை தவிர்த்தனர்.
அன்னாஹசாறேவுக்கு ஆதரவாக திகார் சிறை உட்பட நாடெங்கிலும் மக்கள் அணி அணியாகத் திரண்டு போராடி வருகின்றனர்.
கொழுந்து விட்டு எரியும் தீப்பந்தங்களுடன் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் நள்ளிரவு நெருங்குவதையும் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் அன்னாவுக்கு ஆதரவாக வீதியில் இறங்கி போராடி வருகின்றனர்.

யார் இந்த அன்னா ஹசாரே? 4 ஆம் இணைப்பு...
இந்தியாவையே மிரள வைக்கும் உருவெடுத்துள்ள சக்தியாக அன்னா ஹசாரே என்பவர் யார்? அவர் உருவாகியது எப்படி? அவர் அடைய நினைப்பது எதனை? அதை அவர் எவ்வாறு அடைய நினைக்கிறார்? போன்ற விபரங்களை தெளிவாக தருகிறோம்.
இவரது இயற் பெயர் கிசான் பாபத் பாபுராவ் ஹசாரே, 1938ம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 15ம் திகதியன்று மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம் அகமது நகர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார் , இந்திய ராணுவத்தில் கனரக வாகன ஓட்டுனராக பணிபுரிந்தவர்.
தனக்கு ஓய்வு நேரம் கிடைக்கும் போது எல்லாம், சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர், மகாத்மா காந்தி, ஆச்சார்யா வினோபா பாவே போன்றோரின் புத்தகங்களை படித்தார். இதனால், இவருக்கு சமூக சேவை செய்வதிலும், அஹிம்சையிலும் ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டது.
1978ல், ராணுவத்திலிருந்து விருப்ப ஓய்வு பெற்று, முழு நேர சமூக சேவகரானார். ஊழலுக்கு எதிரான மக்கள் இயக்கம் என்ற அமைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி, போராட்டங்களை நடத்தினார்.
இவரின் பெரும்பாலான போராட்டங்கள், ஊழல் அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கு எதிரானதாக அமைந்தது.
இவரின் தீவிரமான போராட்டம் காரணமாக, 1995-96ல், அப்போதைய மகாராஷ்டிராவில் ஆளும் கட்சியாக இருந்த சிவசேனா - பா.ஜ.க, அரசை சேர்ந்த ஊழல் அமைச்சர்கள் இரண்டு பேர் நீக்கப்பட்டனர். 2003ல், ஹசாரேயின் போராட்டம் காரணமாக, காங்கிரஸ் - தேசியவாத காங்கிரஸ் அரசில் அமைச்சர்களாக இருந்த நான்கு பேருக்கு எதிராக, மகாராஷ்டிரா அரசு, விசாரணை கமிஷன் அமைத்தது.
இவரின் போராட்டங்களால் கடும் அதிருப்தியடைந்த சரத் பவார், பால் தாக்கரே போன்ற அரசியல்வாதிகள், அவரை "பிளாக் மெயில் மனிதர்' என கடுமையாக விமர்சித்தனர்.
தகவல் பெறும் உரிமைச் சட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதிலும் உறுதியாக இருந்தார். ஹசாரேயின் பெரும்பாலான போராட்டங்கள், உண்ணாவிரத போராட்டங்களாகவே இருந்தன.
ஊழலுக்கு எதிரான இவரின் போராட்டங்களுக்கு மேதா பட்கர், கிரண் பேடி, ஆன்மிக தலைவர்கள் சுவாமி ராம்தேவ், சுவாமி அக்னிவேஷ் போன்றோர், தொடர்ந்து ஆதரவு அளித்து வருகின்றனர்.
இவருக்கு சொத்து இல்லை; வங்கியில் ஒரு பைசா கூட சேமிப்பும் இல்லை என்பது பெரும்பாலானோருக்கு தெரியாத விஷயம். அகமது நகர் மாவட்டம், சித்தி நகர் கிராமத்தில் யாதவபாபா கோவில் அருகே உள்ள, பத்துக்கு பத்து சதுரடி கொண்ட ஒரு சிறிய அறை தான் இவரது வசிப்பிடம்.
இந்த நூற்றாண்டிலும் இப்படி ஒரு மனிதரா என, ஆச்சர்யப்பட வைக்கும் இவர் தான், தற்போது, ஊழலுக்கும், ஊழல்வாதிகளுக்கும் எதிராக, மிகப்பெரிய புரட்சியை நிகழ்த்தி வருகிறார்.
பிரதமர் மற்றும் அமைச்சர்கள், அதிகாரிகள் மீதான ஊழல் குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை விசாரிப்பதற்காக, லோக்சபாவில் சட்டம் இயற்றும் நடவடிக்கையில் மத்திய அரசு தற்போது ஈடுபட்டுள்ளது. இதற்காக, மத்திய அமைச்சரவை குழுவும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

"சாவை கண்டு நான் பயப்படவில்லை. நான் இறந்து விட்டால், எனக்காக அழுவதற்கு, குடும்பம் என்று யாரும் இல்லை. நாட்டுக்காக ஏதாவது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே, போராடி வருகிறேன். ஊழலுக்கு எதிராக இரண்டாவது சுதந்திர போராட்டத்தை நாம் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
அரசு துறைகளில் வெளிப்படையான அணுகுமுறை அவசியம். நேர்மையான அதிகாரிகளை, அடிக்கடி இடமாற்றம் செய்வது தடுக்கப்பட வேண்டும். இந்த நோக்கங்கள் நிறைவேறும் வரை, என் போராட்டத்தை தொடர்வேன்!'' - அன்னா ஹசாரே.

தான் கைது செய்யப்பட்டது இரண்டாவது சுதந்திர போராட்டத்திற்கான துவக்கம் என்றும், நாட்டு மக்கள் அனைவரும் சிறை செல்ல தயாராகும்படியும் அன்னா ஹசாரே அறைகூவல் விடுத்துள்ளார்.
வலிமையான லோக்பால் மசோதா கோரி உண்ணாவிரதப்போராட்டம் நடத்தப்போவதாக கூறிய அன்னா ஹசாரே இன்று காலை கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பின் பேசிய ஹசாரே கூறியதாவது:
“எனதருமை நாட்டு மக்களே! எனது கைதின் மூலம் நாட்டில் இரண்டாவது சுதந்திர போராட்டம் துவங்கியுள்ளது. நான் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளேன். ஆனால் எனது கைதுடன் இந்த இயக்கம் நின்று விடாது. இது தொடரும்.
நாட்டில் உள்ள சிறைச்சாலைகளில் இனி ஒரு இந்தியனை அடைக்க இடம் இல்லை என கூறும் அளவுக்கு அவற்றை நிரப்பும் காலம் வந்து விட்டது. நான் மீண்டும் உங்களிடம் கோரிக்கை வைப்பது என்னவென்றால், இப்போராட்டத்தில் அமைதி பேணி காக்கப்படவேண்டும். இந்த இயக்கத்தில் வன்முறைக்கு இடமில்லை.

Drupal 7.8, a maintenance release with numerous bug fixes (no security fixes) is now available for download. A critical bug with the upgrade path, #1164852: Inconsistencies in field language handling has been addressed in this release, among other critical and major bugs. See the Drupal 7.8 release notes for a full listing.
Upgrading your existing Drupal 7 sites is strongly recommended. There are no new features in these releases. For more information about the Drupal 7.x release series, consult the Drupal 7.0 release announcement.

Changelog

Drupal 7.8 is a bug fix only release. The full list of changes between the 7.7 and 7.8 releases can be found by reading the 7.8 release notes. A complete list of all bug fixes in the stable 7.x branch can be found in the git commit log.

Update notes

Addresses critical upgrade path issue #1164852: Inconsistencies in field language handling. The 7.8 release notes have more information for site builders who hit this issue in Drupal 7.7.

Known issues

Due to stricter error handling in Drupal 7.8 around entities, users of the Media module are experiencing EntityMalformedException errors. A workaround is posted at http://drupal.org/node/1266620#comment-4941950 and engineers are actively working on a new release.

IBM unplugs from U of I supercomputer project

Champaign: IBM Corp has dropped out of a project to build one of the world’s fastest supercomputers at the University of Illinois, saying it requires too much financial and technical support.
The move leaves the university looking for someone to build the $300 million-plus Blue Waters system that it still hopes to deliver by the fall of 2012. The school’s National Centre for Supercomputing Applications will have just a few weeks to customize its plans to a new builder and present them to the project’s primary financier, the federal government’s National Science Foundation.
There is no guarantee the project that was originally expected to go online this year will continue.
IBM won’t say how much money the project would have cost the company, but Monday’s announcement followed several months of talks with university officials.
“As we moved forward in the project, increased cost from the final design and other changes made us come to the conclusion” not to continue, IBM spokeswoman Joanna Brewer said.
John Melchi, who is senior associate director at the university’s National Centre for Supercomputing Applications, said IBM’s decision is disappointing but said that with the NSF waiting for a revised plan there’s little time for the 120 or so people at the university who’ve worked on the project to do anything but keep working.
“When you look at the work you’ve put in the previous three or four years, it is disheartening,” he said. “Honestly, there’s a certain amount of energy here; people are inspired.” The NSF’s National Science Board, a 20-member group of scientists, expects to have a revised plan to vote on as early as mid-September, NSF spokeswoman Lisa-Joy Zgorski said.
“Whether or not we move forward with a comparable alternative ultimately rests upon the decision of the National Science Board,” she said.

Snake boat race surges ahead, a man’s legacy lives on

Alappuzha: Sixteen snake boats and around 40 small boats are all set to surge through the waters of Punnamada lake as the 59th Nehru Boat Race kicks off here Saturday. And, by a curious coincidence, not far from the spot will proceed the burial of a man who was one of the prime movers and shakers of the event.
The excitement is mounting. Domestic as well as foreign tourists are heading for the famed race that is billed as a curtainraiser for the new tourism season in Kerala.
About 50 km from the venue, at a solemn function in a church, the body of former bureaucrat and governor P.C. Alexander would be lowered into a grave. He died Wednesday at the age of 90.
The boat race dates back to 1952 when the then Indian prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, visited the state and a pageantry of boats accompanied him from Kottayam to Alappuzha.
Alexander was the sub-collector of Alappuzha at that time and had sprung into action, organising an impromptu race in Nehru’s honour. Nehru, who was thrilled by the performance of the oarsmen, jumped into a snake boat.
On returning to Delhi, Nehru donated a silver trophy, the replica of a snake boat placed on a wooden abacus with an inscription and his signature. This is the trophy that the winner of the snake boat category is awarded.
It was Alexander who ensured that the boat race becomes an annual event.
Since then the event has become famed internationally. It’s a sight to behold as rowers, seated in their thin, long snake boats, plunge their oars into the otherwise placid lake waters, sending the excitement soaring.
The length of a snake boat varies from 120 feet to 140 feet and each has about 120 oarsmen.
“This time, unlike previous years, we have been witnessing a good number of foreign tourist arrivals and the 400 odd house boats are expected to get good business even after the event gets over,” said Tomy Pulikattil, a key member of the organising committee of the event.
For the past week, Punnamada lake has been witnessing hectic practice sessions with a large number of tourists watching the marvel, despite inclement weather.
Federal Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad would be the chief guest for the event.
A highlight this time is that one of the snake boats, United Boat Club, Kainakary has included in its team of oarsmen a group of 51 soldiers from the Madras Engineering Group.
A couple from Germany would also be the cynosure of all eyes because they are the parents of FIFA World Cup 2010 golden boot-winning German midfielder Thomas Mueller.
Gerhard and Claudia Mueller, the young Bayern Munich star’s parents, have already arrived.
“We will be watching the boat race from a houseboat,” said the tall Gerhard, who is staying in Kumarakom.
Claudia and Gerhard have two sons, Thomas and Simon.
“Thomas started playing football when he was four years old,” Claudia recalled with pride. “He was one very active boy,” she added.
Thomas, who has visited India once before – it was a trip to Kolkata – “also wants to visit Kerala”, said Claudia.
“It is wonderful Thomas Mueller has expressed his desire to visit Kerala,” said Kerala Tourism Minister A.P. Anil Kumar. “It is a sign that Kerala is becoming a destination of choice among the top bracket of Germany,” he added.

Police: North Korean hackers targeted South Korean game sites

South Korea: South Korean police arrested five men Thursday for allegedly collaborating with North Korean computer experts to hack into online game systems to generate millions of dollars in illicit gains.
Their investigation, which was conducted with the country’s National Intelligence Service, exposed an elaborate operation in which South Koreans invited North Korean computer hackers to China to create programs that automatically play popular online games and accumulate virtual items that were later sold for cash on the Internet.
The police believe these programs, known as auto-programs, were developed by hacking into South Korean online game companies to work out how to write them to cheat their operations, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
South Korea has experienced a wave of cyber attacks on government, business and military websites over the past two years. Seoul has fingered North Korea for the attacks, a claim Pyongyang denies. There is rising concern about Internet security in the South as experts point to the vulnerabilities of one of the most wired countries in the world.
Police say their investigation into the gaming scheme points to the possibility of North Korea using online gaming as another tool to penetrate South Korea’s computing systems.
The five men held over the illicit gaming operation allegedly invited the North Korean computer specialists to China as normal business partners and provided them with board and stipends while engaging them in developing the auto-programs, according to police.
The operation began roughly two years ago and has generated more than 6.4 billion won (US$6 million) over the span of a year and a half, according to the police.
Once invited, the North Korean computers experts, mostly graduates from top-ranking North Korean universities, stayed for roughly five months in China before returning to their home country.
They received compensation for developing auto-programs and were expected to wire a monthly fee of US$500 back to Pyongyang, according to the police.
Some of them work for the North’s leading IT agency Korea Computer Center (KCC), while others operate under a trade company that is known to be involved in raising and managing funds for North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Il, according to the investigation report.
“We have to some extent confirmed through the statements of the suspects that North Korea is mass mobilizing computer experts for hacking, and that they are heavily involved in cyber crimes,” according to the police investigation report.
The police called on South Korean online game companies to boost their security systems in the face of North Korea’s increasing hacking capabilities and potential for conducting cyber attacks in the South.

Jayalalithaa’s plea for exemption from personal appearance rejected

Chennai: In a setback to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, a special court here on Friday rejected her application seeking exemption from personal appearance in the disproportionate asset case.
Special Court Judge B.M. Mallikarjunaiah also rejected Ms. Jayalalithaa’s pleas for allowing her to make a written statement and permission to depose through video conferencing.
The court also rejected prayer by Ms. Jayalalithaa’s senior counsel B. Kumar seeking deferment of the 313 CrPC proceedings (power to examine the accused) till September 14 on grounds that the Tamil Nadu Assembly budget session was on and she being the Chief Minister had to be present necessarily present during the session.

தகவல் தொழில் நுட்பம் மற்றும் கம்ப்யூட்டர் துறையில் பல நிறுவனங்கள் இயங்கி வருகின்றன. ஒரு சில நிறுவனங்களின் பெயர்கள் நாம் அன்றாடம் சொல்லும் நிறுவனப் பெயர்களாக மாறி உள்ளன. ஆனால் எந்தக் கணமேனும் இந்த நிறுவனங்கள் எப்படி அந்தப் பெயர்களைப் பெற்றன என்று யோசித்துப் பார்த்திருப்போமா! இதோ இப்போது பார்ப்போமா!

1.அடோப் (ADOBE):
இந்த பெயர் ஒரு நதியின் பெயர். இந்த நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கியவர்களின் ஒருவரான ஜான் வார்நாக் அமெரிக்காவின் கலிபோர்னியாவில் லாஸ் ஆல்டாஸ் என்ற பகுதியில் வசிக்கிறார். இவரின் வீட்டிற்குப் பின்புறம் இந்த அடோப் நதி ஓடுகிறது.

2. ஆப்பிள் (APPLE):
ஆப்பிள் நிறுவனத்தின் முதல் இலச்சினை வாசகம் என்ன தெரியுமா! – "Bite into an Apple" என்பதுதான். இதுதான் இந்நிறுவனத்தின் ஸ்லோகன் ஆக இருந்தது.

ஆனால் இந்நிறுவனத்தின் மிகப் புகழ் பெற்ற ஸ்லோகன் "Think Different" என்பதே. எனவே இரண்டையும் கலந்து, வித்தியாசமான முறையில் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, ஆப்பிள் நிறுவனத்தை நிறுவிய ஸ்டீவ் ஜாப்ஸ் அவரின் நிறுவனத்தை ஆப்பிள் கம்ப்யூட்டர்ஸ் என வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

ஜாப்ஸ் மற்ற நண்பர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து ஆப்பிள்களை உற்பத்தி செய்திடும் பண்ணையில் முதலில் வேலை பார்த்து வந்தாராம். அவர் நண்பர்களுடன் தன் புதிய கம்ப்யூட்டர் கம்பெனிக்குச் சரியான பெயரை அவரின் நண்பர்கள் தரவில்லை என்றால் கம்பெனிக்கு ஆப்பிள் கம்ப்யூட்டர்ஸ் என்று பெயர் வைத்து விடுவேன் என்று செல்லமாகவும் வேடிக்கைக்காகவும் மிரட்டி உள்ளார்.

ஆனால் அவரின் நண்பர்களால் வேறு எந்த மிக நல்ல பெயரையும் கொடுக்காத நிலையில் ஆப்பிள் கம்ப்யூட்டர்ஸ் என்பதே பெயரானது. அதுவே சரித்திரத்திலும் நிலைத்துவிட்டது என்பது நாம் அறிந்த வரலாறு.

3. கூகுள் (GOOGLE):
சர்ச் இஞ்சின் கொண்ட நிறுவனத்தை நிறுவிய போது, இதில் தேடப்படும் தகவல்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 1 போட்டு அதன் பின் 100 சைபர்கள் கொண்ட எண்ணாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தில் "Googol" என்ற சொல்லை முதலில் வைத்தனர்.

இந்த சொல் நம் ஊர் லட்சம், கோடி என்பது போல, மேலே சொன்ன எண்ணைக் குறிக்குமாம். ஆனால் இந்த சொல்லை எழுதுகையில் அதில் ஸ்பெல்லிங் மிஸ்டேக் ஏற்பட நமக்கு "Google" என்ற பெயர் கிடைத்தது.

அது கூட இந்நிறுவனத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியவர்களால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட வில்லை. ஸ்டான்போர்டு பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் படித்த செர்ஜி பிரின் மற்றும் லாரி பேஜ் ஆகியோரால் தான் கூகுள் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

இவர்கள் இதனைத் தொடங்குவதற்கான ப்ராஜக்ட் ரிப்போர்ட்டினைத் தயாரித்து, ஒரு முதலீட்டாளரிடம் கொடுத்து நிதி உதவி கேட்டுள்ளனர்.

அவர் நிதி உதவி வழங்குகையில் தந்த செக்கில் "Google"" எனத் தவறாக எழுதப்போய், தானம் கொடுத்த மாட்டின் பல்லைப் பிடித்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டாம் என இருவரும் நினைத்து அந்த தவறான ஸ்பெல்லிங்குடனே நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கி இன்று மனித இனத்தின் சிந்தனைப் போக்கினையே மாற்றிவிட்டனர்.

4.ஹாட் மெயில் (HOTMAIL):
இந்த நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கியவர் ஜாக் ஸ்மித். இணையம் வழியாக இமெயில்களைப் பெறும் வழி குறித்து முதலில் யோசித்துள்ளார்.

அதாவது இணைய இணைப்பு தரும் இன்டர்நெட் சர்வீஸ் புரவைடர் துணையின்றி, அவர்கள் சர்வரில் இடம் கேட்டு வாங்கி, இமெயில் பெறும் பழக்கத்தை மாற்றி வெப் சர்வரை அடைந்து மெயிலைப் பெறும் வழி குறித்துப் பல காலம் சிந்தித்து ஹாட்மெயிலை வடிவமைத்தார்.

ஹாட் மெயிலின் இன்னொரு நிறுவனரான, இந்தியரான, சபீர் பாட்டியா இதற்குப் பல பெயர்களை எழுதிப் பார்த்தார். எந்த பெயராக இருந்தாலும் அது மெயில் (MAIL) என முடிய வேண்டும் என்பதில் தீர்மானமாக இருந்தார்.

இறுதியாக HOTMAIL என்ற பெயரே போதும் என முடிவுக்கு வந்தார். ஏனென்றால் இணையத்தில் வெப் பக்கங்களில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் புரோகிராமிங் மொழியினை HTML Hyper Text Markup Language என அழைக்கிறோம்.

HOTMAIL என்பதில் HTML இருப்பதால் அதுவே இருக்கட்டும் என முடிவு செய்து ஹாட் மெயில் என அழைத்தார். 1996 ஜூலை 4ல் இது அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டது.

முதலில் இது HoTMaiL என சின்ன எழுத்தும் குறிப்பிட்ட சில பெரிய எழுத்துமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டே பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்தது. பின் நாளில் இது வழக்கமாக எழுதும் முறையில் அமைக்கப்பட்டது.

5. இன்டெல் (INTEL):
இந்த நிறுவனத்தை நிறுவியவர்கள் பாப் நாய்ஸ் மற்றும் கார்டன் மூர் (Bob Noyce and Gordon Moore) என்பவர்களாவர். அவர்கள் தங்களின் புதிய நிறுவனத்தை "Moore Noyce" என அழைக்க முதலில் முடிவு செய்தனர்.

ஆனால் பின்னர் பார்க்கையில் இந்த பெயர் ஹோட்டல்கள் பல அடங்கிய ஒரு குரூப்பிற்கு இருப்பது தெரியவந்தது. அந்த பெயர் அந்த நிறுவனத்தால் பதியப்பட்டது தெரியவந்ததால் வேறு பெயரைச் சிந்திக்கத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.

அப்போது to 'more noise' என இருக்கட்டுமே என்று யோசித்தனர். ஆனால் ஒரு செமி கண்டக்டர் நிறுவனத்திற்கு இந்தப் பெயர் தவறான பொருளைத் தரும் என தவிர்த்துவிட்டனர்.

பின் முதல் ஓராண்டிற்கு NM Electronics என்ற பெயரைப் பயன்படுத்தினர். அதன் பின் INTegrated Electronics என்ற பெயரைச் சுருக்கி INTEL எனப் பெயர் வைத்தனர். அப்படியே அந்தப் பெயர் இன்றளவும் உலகில் புகழ் பெற்ற ஒரு பெயராக இருந்து வருகிறது.

6. மைக்ரோசாப்ட் (MICROSOFT):
பில் கேட்ஸின் இந்த நிறுவனம் மைக்ரோசாப்ட் எனப் பெயர் பெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சி மிகச் சாதாரணமான ஒன்றாகும். Microcomputer மற்றும் Software என்ற இரண்டையும் இணைத்து இந்த பெயர் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

முதலில் பில் கேட்ஸ் தன் சகா பால் ஆலன் என்பவருக்கு 1975 ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் 29ல் எழுதிய கடிதத்தில் MicroSoft எனப் பிரித்து இடைக் கோடிட்டு எழுதினாராம்.

அதன் பின் இருவரும் சேர்ந்து தங்கள் நிறுவனத்திற்கு இன்றைய பெயரை 1976 நவம்பர் 26ல் பதிவு செய்திருக்கின்றனர். இடையே இருந்த இடைக்கோடு காலப்போக்கில் நீக்கப்பட்டு MICROSOFT என ஒரே பெயராகப் பின்னர் உருவானது.

அதுவே உலக மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையைப் புரட்டிப் போட்ட நிறுவனத்தின் பெயராக அமைந்தது.

7. யாஹூ (YAHOO):

தொடக்கத்தில் இந்த நிறுவனத்தின் பெயர் "Jerry and David's Guide to the World Wide Web" என்பதாக இருந்தது. 1994ல் யாஹூ என்ற பெயருக்கு மாறியது.

ஜொனதன் ஸ்விப்ட் என்பவர் எழுதிய கல்லிவரின் பயணங்கள் என்ற நாவலில் "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle" என்ற சொல் தொடரின் சுருக்கமாக YAHOO என்பதைப் பயன்படுத்தினார்.

இந்த பெயர் மிக முரட்டுத்தனமான, நாகரிகம் மற்றும் பண்பாடு தெரியாத இளைஞனைக் குறிக்கும்.

யாஹூ நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கிய ஜெர்ரியங் மற்றும் டேவிட் பைலோ ஆகிய இருவரும் தாங்கள் அப்படிப்பட்ட இளைஞர்கள் என்று தங்களைத் தாங்களே வேடிக்கையாகக் குறிப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டு இந்த பெயரையே தங்கள் நிறுவனத்திற்கும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தனர்.

28-year-old man beaten to death in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A 28-year-old man, who was beaten up in a drunken brawl by four persons in full public glare, succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
The attack was recorded in a surveillance camera at a traffic signal on Mettuppalayam Road, leading to the arrest of the culprits.
Santosh Kumar was thrashed by the four men near a traffic signal in Saibabha Colony locality at 2 p.m. on Sunday, even as passersby watched the incident, visuals released by police showed.
The man was admitted to the government hospital and succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, police said.
With the help of recordings of the camera set up at strategic locations, police arrested the four persons and produced them before a court which remanded them to judicial custody.
Santosh’s wife on Tuesday submitted a memorandum seeking compensation and a government job.
